ascsubtag: The Free Amazon Analytics Report Most Affiliates Never Open
Amazon Associates lets you append an ascsubtag to every link and then breaks your revenue down per page, per placement, per product in the unified self-service report. Most affiliates never use it — they guess which pages earn.
How to fix it
- Add ascsubtag=page-slug to every outbound link your site generates.
- Use a readable convention:
ascsubtag=air-fryers-top6|B08N5WRWNW(page + ASIN). - Open Associates → Reports → Unified self-service and segment by subtag weekly.
- Kill pages that get clicks but zero orders; double down on the subtags that convert.
