The script uses Publisher's own COM automation for pixel-perfect PDFs, skips already-converted files, and cleans up properly if it errors.

Microsoft never published the .pub file format. This extractor pulls embedded images (JPEG/PNG) and text from the file's OLE structure and composes a clean PDF — great for recovering content, not a 1:1 print proof. Vector-heavy layouts may come through as text-only pages. For perfect fidelity, use the PowerShell path above while Publisher still runs, or LibreOffice Draw.
